Canvas prints from Printdesigns come pre-stretched onto finger-jointed pine frames and are ready to display in almost any interior space.
As we manufacture our frames in house, we can produce almost any size canvas and are not restricted to off the shelf sizes like many suppliers. Simply specify the size you need, provide your artwork and let us take care of the rest.
UV Digital Canvas Printing
We print canvasses using a UV printing process from a state of the art EFI digital printer. UV digital printing involves outputting liquid ink onto the canvas which is then cured using powerful UV light from LED lamps. Once cured, the ink is permanently bonded to the surface of the canvas and is UV stable and waterproof.
Due to the fact that UV ink is cured on top of the canvas material rather than soaking into it, the colour density and sharpness of reproduction can be much higher than other print processes.
Sustainable FSC Frame
We manufacture our own frames for canvas prints using a finger jointed frame profile made from FSC certified Baltic pine.
Our special stretcher bar profile can be used in two directions providing the option for a 28mm deep or a 40mm deep canvas frame depending on your preference.
Our canvas frame profile has a bevelled edge which means that the printed canvas only contacts the frame at the very edge. This means that there is no shadow or bump around the edge of the stretched canvas as can be the case with frames manufactured from basic square wooden profile.
Standard canvas frames can be made to a max width or height of 1500mm. For larger sizes, frames may require special struts or braces to prevent bowing. Please contact us with your dimensions for a price.
Choice Of Canvas Edge
Stretched canvas prints can be finished with the printed image wrapping around the sides of frame or the image can finish on the front and the side edges can be white.
Just select the option that you prefer and we will size and finish the canvas for you accordingly. If you select wrapped edges on the canvas, we will email you with a proof so you can see the portion of the image that will be wrapped around the sides.
It is also possible for us to print the side edges in a custom colour on request. Simply contact us immediately after ordering if this is something you require.
Helpful Support & Service
We can produce canvas prints from any original digital photo or artwork file but it's important that any images are of sufficiently high quality and resolution for us to get the best results.
We recommend that images should be 300dpi or greater resolution at the final size they are to be printed at.
If you are unsure whether or not your image is of sufficient quality for the size of canvas you require, our team are happy to take a look and offer advice. It's all part of our personal level of service.

Delivery Of Canvas Prints
We can deliver panels up to around 1M x 1M in size via regular overnight courier services. Larger panels or awkward-sized panels may be too large or fragile to deliver in this way. If you require larger panels, please contact us prior to placing your order and we can verify that we can deliver within our standard charges. If it is not possible, we can provide a quotation based on a dedicated vehicle to the delivery address. You may also collect your order in person or via your own courier.
