Printdesigns have been specialising in digital large format printing since 1999. At a time where the technology was in it's infancy, we were one of the frst companies to take the plunge and invest in wide format ink jet printers, allowing us to produce short run colour printing onto a roll-based materials.

Within 2 Years of our investing in our first Encad wide format ink jet printer, we had purchased another three machines and were producing large format display work for a range of applications including exhibitions and events and retail point of sale displays.

In 2004, we moved to new premises which allowed us to install our first flat bed UV digital printing machine. The UV printing process enabled us to print onto a wider range of materials than was previously possible including rigid boards. This was a leap forward that allowed us to reduce costs and production times needed for such work.

2007 saw further expansion and we occupied an additional adjoining industrial unit allowing us to expand our team. By 2010 we took on a third building and installed our first Zund flatbed cutting machine that allowed us to contour cut any of the rigid display products we printed to amost any shape. Zund cutting also opened up new possibilities in terms of the production of folding cardboard POS products too.

By 2010 we had filled all of the available space in the three small industrial units we operated from and we had also taken on a fourth unit for storage and warehousing a range of portable display products such as retractable banners, pop up displays and new tensioned 'fabric' display frames. We continued to expand and operate from these four buildings for the following 3 years whereby we made the decision to move to a larger, single building based in Stone, Staffordshire.

Our current premises based in Stone are approximately 10,000 square feet in size. We operate a large print-room allowing us to offer a variety of different printing technologies. In addition to printing, we offer bespoke cutting, creasing and folding; laminating and encapsulation plus print finishing including sewing and welding. We also offer bespoke manufacture and fabrication allowing us to create unique and innovative display products for our clients.

The following gives a brief explanation of the main printing processes we offer. If you have any questions or would like to come and visit we would love to hear from you!
