What Are Construction Fence Banners?
Construction fence banners are designed for use on standard 3.5M x 2M size temporary fence panels that are commonly used within construction and building sites.
Construction fencing is made from an outer tubular galvanised steel frame with a wire mesh grid within it. Heavy-duty rubber or plastic feet are normally added to the bottom of the fence panels so they can free-stand.
Our printed temporary fence banners are designed to fit neatly within the tubular frame of the fence and can provide branding and advertising on-site whilst screening the area from public view.
Choice Of Temporary Fence Banner Materials
Construction fencing is typically used in outdoor environments and all weather conditions. We have two types of material available for printing banners, both of which are highly durable and resistant to weathering and fading.
Both of our printing materials feature a perforated finish that allows wind to diffuse through it. This is important for a large banner that could otherwise trap wind rather like a sail, resulting in the heras fence being unstable or even blown over.
Construction Fence Mesh PVC Banners
Mesh PVC is a plastic banner material that features a close pattern of small holes. Around 75% of the surface of the banner is solid material with the remaining 25% of the surface area being the perforation.
Mesh PVC Fence banners are printed onto one side using a UV digital print process. The reverse of the material is white.
Mesh PVC material weighs 270gsm so the overall weight of the finished fence banner is just over 2KG.
The airflow (permeability) data for mesh PVC material is 3500 l/m² Sec. Mesh PVC banners can be rolled and delivered in large tubes or suitable cartons.
Construction Fence Air Mesh Banners
Air Mesh is a polyester fabric material that features a woven pattern of small holes. Around 66% of the surface of the banner is solid material with the remaining 34% of the surface area being the perforation.
Air mesh banners are printed using a dye sublimation process. The image printed onto the front is also visible from the reverse rather than the back of the banner being white. Please note that when viewing the printed design from the rear of the banner, the content will be a mirror image.
Air mesh fabric is 235gsm in weight so a finished fence banner weighs around 1.5kg.
The airflow (permeability) for mesh fabric material is 6200 l/m², making this the best product for use in higher wind speed conditions. Air mesh fabric banners can be folded so they are much easier to transport and store than PVC-based banners that have to be rolled.
Another big plus factor with printed air mesh fabric banners is that they can be recycled widely with other polyester-based textiles.
Fence Banner Finishing
Printed fence banners can be attached to fencing using zip ties, bungee cords or other suitable ties. Bungee ropes are the best product to secure your printed Banner with as these will allow the print to move slightly and thus cushion the eyelets in stronger wind conditions.
Our banners are finished with silver nickel eyelets that are positioned at intervals of approximately 400mm around the edge.
The top left and right of the printed banner are finished with a 45-degree angle as standard so it can fit neatly inside the rounded shape of the fence.
Mesh PVC banners feature a double-strength heat welded seam around the edge whereas fabric air mesh banners have a black nylon banding sewn around the edge through which eyelets are inserted.

Both our PVC mesh and air mesh fabric banners are produced in-house at our UK-based factory. We print using industrial EFI digital printers that can output over 300 square Metres per hour.
There are no limits to the amount of colour that can be used in the artwork and no minimum order requirements.

How To Care For Your Printed Fence Banners
Printed fence banners are strong and durable to cope with life outdoors but some basic care and maintenance will prolong the lifespan of your banners and will keep them looking as good for as long as possible.
In particularly severe or stormy weather, banners should be removed from fencing.
It is important to clean your banners from time to time to remove pollutants and surface dirt that can damage the banner through mechanical abrasion.
Both PVC and fabric air mesh banners can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a sponge. You can also machine wash our fabric banners using a delicate cycle in a washing machine. After washing, hang the banner to air dry.
