Blockout fabric printing is available in widths up to 3.1 Metres by almost any continuous length. Blockout fabric prints are suitable for a wide range of display applications including event backdrops, display graphics and hanging banners. Our polyester fabric features a black-coloured polyurethane backing to prevent show-through whilst retaining a degree of elasticity so it can be stretched and tensioned.

Blockout fabric is made from a knitted display polyester that is bonded to a black polyurethane liner to prevent light transmission through the material.
Being completely opaque, images printed onto blockout fabric are strong and vibrant with maximum colour density.
Blockout fabric is a popular printable fabric and can be used for a wide variety of applications where a solid no-show-through fabric is preferred.
Applications for this material include the production of exhibition graphics, retail display banners, prints for SEG frames (silicone-edged graphics) and more.
Tensionable Fabric Ideal For SEG Frames
Our Blockout fabric prints have around 2% elastic stretch which means that they can be tensioned onto a supporting frame.
Many frame systems feature a perimeter channel that is designed to accept a silicone profile. The blockout fabric print can be sewn with the relevant edging so it can push-fit to the frame and be held in position under tension for a smooth, flat finish.
There are several different types of silicone edging available so if you require your print to be sewn with edging, we recommend that you send an existing print to us so we can identify the type of edging you require and use the same type on the new print. If you do not have an old print to send us, you can measure the depth and width of the channel in your frame and provide these measurements to us.
Sewing and Finishing of Blockout Fabric
Our in-house sewing technicians can finish your prints to almost any specifications on request. We have the following options available as standard:
Material cut to size (no hem)
Material cut to size and sewn with a hem (approx 10mm hem)
Material cut to size and sewn with pockets (please provide instructions for pocket placement/size after ordering)
Material is sewn with silicone edging to the perimeter (multiple profiles available depending on requirements)
Material is sewn with velcro to the perimeter(hook or loop type available)
