SoFlat is a 420gsm smooth PVC based display film with excellent stay flat properties. It's ideal for the production of rollable display graphics for window displays, poster frames, hanging banners and exhibition display panels. SoFlat can be printed in widths of up to 2.2 Metres by almost any length.
About SoFlat Scrimless PVC Banner
Typical PVC banner materials designed for external use are made from a polyester weave (known as a scrim) that is coated with PVC. The finish of such banner material is not completely smooth which can detract from the appearance of high-end interior display graphics.
SoFlat banner is made from a smooth layer of white PVC and a reverse layer of opaque grey PVC that are formed together with no internal scrim. The finish of SoFlat material is completely smooth and there is no texture to the face.
Applications For SoFlat Display Prints
One of the key features of SoFlat as the product name suggests is it's stay-flat properties.
SoFlat is dimensionally stable at various temperatures and does not curl at the edges. This makes it which makes it ideal for the production of things like hanging banners, roller banners, rollable exhibition panels and window posters.
For exterior use, it's good to know that SoFlat PVC banner is waterproof and can therefore be used as an alternative to paper in products such as external A Boards and pavement signs.
Blockout Grey Backing
SoFlat PVC film features a grey backing on the reverse that provides greater image opacity when compared to solid white print materials. In window displays, images will remain solid even under strong backlighting conditions.
The grey liner to the rear is also advantageous when using SoFlat PVC for the production of graphics for roller banner stands whereby non-opaque printable materials could allow the support poles to cause a shadow on the front of the graphic from behind.
High Resolution SoFlat UV Printing
SoFlat PVC material is printed with a UV digital process with a resolution of 1000dpi.
The material is available in a maximum roll width of 2200mm and can be printed at almost any continuous length.
After printing, SoFlat can be trimmed to any finished size and we can also contour cut to shape on request.
If you require special finishing of your SoFlat prints, please get in touch as we can help by adding things like pockets for hanging rods etc on request.
Due to the fact that SoFlat is scrimless, we do not recommend this material for use with eyelets for hanging as they can pull through the material and tear it. Eyeletted banners are better printed onto regular PVC or our Eco (non PVC) materials.
