Horizontal spring up banners provide a great method of advertising at all types of outdoor events such as golf days and sporting occassions. The frame folds for storage, allowing the banner to stowaway into a compact bag for transit. Assembling a spring up banner is incredibly easy as the system pops open in just a few seconds.
About Spring Up Banners
Spring up banners are sometimes referred to as pop up banners. They are ideal for use at all types of outdoor events and in particular sporting occassions such as golf days where they can be used to create impressive advertising and branding.
Spring up banners are produced using two fabric graphics that tension using a spring steel frame. The two fabric prints are connected back to back and the structure can hinge open so it can free stand.
It is possible to print a spring up banner with the same design on both sides or the banner can be printed with a different design on each side if preferred.
How Do Spring Up Banners Work?
Spring up banners are visually impressive but the framework is incredibly simple.
Printed fabric graphics are produced for each side of the banner and the prints are sewn with an elasticated pocket around the perimeter. We use a black colour banding as standard but can provide white on request.
A long section of spring steel as shown is fed through the pocket all way around the perimeter of the graphic and is joined at the bottom to create a loop.
Once inserted, the steel frame pulls outward tension on the fabric and keeps the printed fabric flat.
Durable Design For Outdoor Use
The spring up banner frame is flexible which is an advantage when using this type of banner outdoors because it can bend and move in stronger wind conditions rather than snapping like a fixed frame could.
The material used for the printing of the graphics is a 210gsm polyester fabric and the material used to create the pocket is an elasticated polyester. The outer thickness of the banding is approximately 60mm.
The method of print used for the production of spring up banner graphics is dye sublimation and both printing and sewing of the graphics is handled in house at our own factory. We don't outsource any production to China or Europe!
Ground Pegs Included For Anchoring
Spring up banners are held 'open' by rigid legs that are sewn to the bottom of each half of the banner. The legs are covered in velcro so they overlap and stick to one another.
Once the legs connected, the two halves of the banner are held apart, creating an A Frame type shape that can free stand on any reasonably flat surface.
When using the banner outdoors on soft surfaces such as grass, the banner can be anchored to the ground by inserting ground pegs that are included through small eyeletted tabs that are sewn to the bottom of the frame.
Folding Away A Pop Up Banner
Once the process of folding the spring up banner frame away is understood, the process is very quick and easy and takes only a few seconds.
Disconnect the velcro legs on the banner so both sides are flat against one another.
Push and twist the frame in the middle creating a figure of 8 shape.
Fold over the top of the figure of 8 shape to create two loops that sit on top of each other.
The spring up banner is now folded and can be packed away into it's storage bag.
